After learning a lot and fiddling with Docker and AWS this blog is finally served by AWS EC2 instances:

  • Based on docker
  • ELB with EC2 instance(s)
  • Cert by letsencrypt
  • Assets are saved to S3 and served from there

If you’re interested check the repo for the docker image. I wanted to have the plugins in github, since containers are volatile.

Tweaking plugins is now just a:

$ make push

But: You can’t really test this, since you don’t have access to my database.

Unfortunately I still have to update the service via the AWS web-interface.

Missing yet in this setup / Next steps: – Automation of certificate renewal – Dockerize and host database
